What I Wore

Spring has been on my mind for the past few weeks and I thought of nothing better than to wear pink. Now, I do not normally wear pink. I just don't really buy clothing in that color for some reason. But the other day I went into J Crew and bought some simple shirts that I can dress up or down. They are extremely versatile. My new infatuation is my lace vest that I got from Macy's (American Rag). I can basically go with anything and I adore the detail.

My pink shirt! Very Spring-like.
Love this!

My Lucky Brand watch that Brian got me for Christmas. I love it and wear it every day. The daisies are too cute.
The flower that was in my hair. I also bought this from J Crew. It's simple and delicate.
I really cannot tell you how much I cannot wait for this snow to be gone. I just want to be soaking up the sun and relaxing. My birthday is coming up and I need suggestions for what to do. Help me out and leave a comment! Hope your weekend is fabulous!

Thursday ramblings

Well good morning, good evening, good day, where ever you are, it is morning here for me on this Thursday. I just wrote down a to-do list for the day and am eager to dig right in and get to working on other projects, like a blog post about good-will findings! This will come later on. But, today, since I don't have my Volvo, I've had to borrow my Dad's truck! I mean, there is nothing wrong with that, I get to sit up high and actually see the road better. Here is what my day entails:

-Return bottles & recylables
-Remove trash
-Stop by the YMCA to get applications (Did I mention that Brian and I are going to be working out together? Yes!)
-Take a trip to good ole Wallyworld for some odds and ends
-& then hopefully end up back here to do some laundry

Can I just say that I love having days off? They are just great to get back on track with things and catch up on some reading (I have about four magazines waiting for my inspection) and just some relaxation. So on that note, I'm going to start in on my day.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Just a peak...

So, as I promised, here is a peak into my accessories. Yes, I have a lot of them and will continue to collect. I don't have a ton of shoes, but jewelery, ah yes I have a ton of that. When we moved into this place, we did a lot of work painting and rearranging and I got to decide what to do with the second bedroom. I made it into an office/dressing room. It is pretty fantastic. I love having my own little space to do homework, write, talk to friends, and stare at my closet! Oh and of course admire my hard work of putting the room together.
This is where I keep my jewelery- or at least most of it!

I got this idea from True Whit and I am totally loving it. I think it looks fabulous.

Just some of my more delicate necklaces I didn't want to hang on the wall.

My Momma's bracelet that she gave me. She said she would never wear it again. It's so gorgeous!

I keep my shoes on display here also.

Just some wallets and clutches that I haven't been using.

My two favorite pairs of heels that I own.

One of my favorite necklaces: the light pink rock one. So beautiful and can be dressed up or down.

Yes, I am a ring lover. You can never have too many.

I counted all of my earrings: 94 pairs.

Hope you enjoyed my jewelery collection! I will have more images of the rest of my place soon to come. Hope the rest of your afternoon is beautiful!

I forgot to show you what it looks like outside! Be aware: Lots of snow!

 I have one word: Yuck.
Bring me Spring!

Good Eats!

This morning I had to go and get my tires rotated and when I came back home, I found my boyfriend cooking bacon. Yes, glorious, greasy, delicious, maple flavored bacon! I handed him his coffee I picked up on Starbucks on my way home and we decided to just make a delicious breakfast for ourselves. It was nothing special, but certainly delicious. Oh and did I mention that it has literally been snowing for the past three days straight? And that it looked like a blizzard when we sat down to eat? Crazy. I cannot wait for Spring to get here.

This would be the final product. Yum.
Hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Love

I'm feeling extra lovey-dovey today so I just wanted to dedicate a little something to those who are near and dear to my heart. You all will be in my heart for ever. I was just thinking about how much I truly love my friends & family, and of course Midnite and Toast. Here's my little shout out list:

Brianna Mae- Thank you for being true to yourself and always loving me no matter what I do. Oh and thanks for being crazy like me. You are amazing and I am so glad we have each other. Meow.

Krassey- You are a lovely little one who I am glad to say will always understand me. I'm glad that we have our own lingo and weird noises. You're pretty awesome. Thanks for being you.

Mother- Yes, we may not always get along, but I know that I can always call you and you will always listen to what I am saying. Whether you call me and ask a million questions, I try to stay patient and answer them. You love me for me and never seem to judge my decisions. Love you Moomayah.

Father- I don't think that words could describe how much you mean to me, Dad. You have helped me through so many obstacles without even saying a word. You are the kindest man that I will ever no. I hope that when I am older I have just as much patience as you. You're work ethic is insane and you your love for our family is out of this world. Oh and by the way, thanks for giving me all of my quirkiness. I love you to the moon and back.

Gramma- You are an angel. That is the best way to describe you. I have never met a woman who gives so much to other people. Thank you for always being here for me and always loving me. You are loved so much.

Brian- You are so special to me. You would do anything for me and I would do the same for you. We laugh together and have so much fun with each other that I don't want it to ever stop. You are so great for me in too many ways. I love you very much.

Midnite & Toast- You two kitty boos are hard to handle sometimes and also very annoying, but you make me smile every day. I love you both very much. Midnite, you really should stop picking on Toast because we both know that she could kick your butt any time, any place.

Grampa & Bubba- I miss you both so much, but I know that you are in better places. I love you.

Bri, Krissey, & I during this past summer and Brian & I this past Christmas together
Sorry Mom, I know you hate it when your picture is taken, but I just had to! Here are my parentals!

My Gramma with our family dog, Emily.

And of course my little babies: Midnite and Toast.

I may only live a few miles from my family, but I don't see them every day. It's not that I don't see them often, I just sometimes miss them. I do talk to them almost every day though!

Life has been pretty hectic the past 3 weeks or so I'd say. Brian and I had to move into a new place. It's only going to be for six months, but let me tell you we have decorated very nicely! I am impressed with our skills. We had to paint the entire place because it severely needed it- pictures will be coming soon, once every thing is painted and done. I love our bedroom though. It really has a nice getaway feeling with its light green walls and subtle lighting. I'm in love. So the apartment is coming along and we also have a fully stocked fridge (much needed)! I'm feeling pretty awesome right about now.

I haven't done an entry in so long that I don't even know what to write about! I've decided to write about my new obsession, well actually I have a few.

Being so busy this past month, I haven't felt like I have been eating very well and I guess I can thank Mister Bagel's cheddar jalapeno cream cheese. It is to DIE for. Amazing. I highly suggest everyone to just go in and get a bagel. Now that I have probably too many groceries, I don't imagine I will be having that cream cheese for awhile, but I think that is probably for the best!

"Dexter" is my new favorite show by the way. Besides the fact that he is smokin' hot, the story line is intriguing and never boring. He's a serial killer and a forensic scientist for Miami Vice. Crazy? Yes, but oh so fun to watch with Brian.

I've also been rummaging through the book shelves at Goodwill & Books Etc. These are both great places to find books. Here is what I found this week:

I got True Whit from Target for $13.99 and the I got the rest from $0.99 to $3.50. You can't beat those prices!

I absolutely love, love, love my new vase I got from Home Goods yesterday. Oh, and it was only $12.00!

This is my attempt at adding my own pictures to my blog, so hopefully they came out allright!

I cannot wait to post pictures of how my apartment is coming along. This will be in the next few days.
