What's been on my mind...

So, yes I have seen Kate and William in numerous magazines and seen all of their pictures and blah, blah, blah. And finally, I had no idea that their wedding was going to be on TV last night until I was in line at the grocery store picking up a frozen pizza. It seems that everyone around me has been talking about it. I've seen news about it on blogs, on facebook, I mean really? Do people actually care that much? I don't really think I'll be watching the Royal Wedding, but I am almost positive that it will be re-playing over and over and over so I bet that I will be inclined to watch some of it.

Lately I've been feeling like I've been lost, almost as if I don't know exactly where I am going. Then I had a talk with my Mom and remembered that I am only twenty and that I don't really need to decide on anything yet, just go to school. Sometimes I feel like I am being held back because I work so much, go to school, afford an apartment, and I try to live, but I mean I'm sure that everyone out there would feel the same as I do. I guess I just need some more variety! I just feel like I'm stuck in this rut and I cannot get out of it unless I travel somewhere. Travel is something that I just need to get out and do. Oh and did I mention save my money for? But I have realized, after talking with my Mom that I have my whole life to travel and see the world and that I don't need to be a rush to do anything. I can take my time with what ever I feel. She always makes me feel better.

I'm just glad that Spring is finally here and the grass is green and I don't have to deal with nasty Winter anymore. That is probably the one downfall about living in Maine for me- I am not a fan of Winter. The warm weather always makes me feel better. It's hard for me to believe that I have the window open behind me. My kitty boos sure like it. And I love it.

I haven't done a post in a really long time and I feel bad that I have been neglecting writing. But, I think I will be doing it more often since I just bought myself a new Macbook. I saved for a few months and I feel really good about my purchase. I guess it's nice that I can go on the computer anywhere now, since I was so secluded to one room with my other lap top because the screen was broken and it only worked if it was hooked up to a monitor. It feels nice to sit in bed and write.

Once I get my school work done, well most likely after this week, I am going shopping. And I will buy some pretty fantastic summer dresses and skirts. I am compiling a list of the things I need and want. I'm sure that I will do a post of my "desired clothing". Hey, that's not a bad idea.

Have a lovely day.

It's been awhile!

Wow. It has been quite awhile since I have done my last post. Many things have been happening and can I just say that this is the first Friday in probably almost a year that I have had off? Pretty amazing. Anywho, I turned twenty years old this past Sunday and it was a very wonderful day. Nothing too extravagant, just nice and relaxing. And today is Brian's birthday! He is now nineteen. Crazy that we are getting older. We also celebrated our one year anniversary which was very special and again, relaxing. I guess one of my favorite hobbies is to relax. So, on that note, I would like to share with you a few different things that are currently making me happy and delighted.

- It is finally starting to look like Spring out here in Maine, folks! I cannot wait for the grass to turn green and for the sun to warm my body every day. Ahhh, summer is my favorite season in Maine.
- I watched Eat, Pray, Love with Brian the other day and instantly fell in love. I am now reading the book.
- I just bought new summer tires. Made me feel good!
- My baby Toast just turned two years old on April 2nd. I can't believe I've had her for just about two years now.
- I got another shift at work. Always a plus in my book!
- Brianna picked up some stemless wine glasses for me that I have been looking for! Pretty much made my day.
- Brian and I are going to our favorite place for dinner tonight. They have the most divine food.

Basically everything is making me happy right now. The sun is shining and I can't wait for it to stay. Hello summer and goodbye winter!

What I Wore

Spring has been on my mind for the past few weeks and I thought of nothing better than to wear pink. Now, I do not normally wear pink. I just don't really buy clothing in that color for some reason. But the other day I went into J Crew and bought some simple shirts that I can dress up or down. They are extremely versatile. My new infatuation is my lace vest that I got from Macy's (American Rag). I can basically go with anything and I adore the detail.

My pink shirt! Very Spring-like.
Love this!

My Lucky Brand watch that Brian got me for Christmas. I love it and wear it every day. The daisies are too cute.
The flower that was in my hair. I also bought this from J Crew. It's simple and delicate.
I really cannot tell you how much I cannot wait for this snow to be gone. I just want to be soaking up the sun and relaxing. My birthday is coming up and I need suggestions for what to do. Help me out and leave a comment! Hope your weekend is fabulous!

Thursday ramblings

Well good morning, good evening, good day, where ever you are, it is morning here for me on this Thursday. I just wrote down a to-do list for the day and am eager to dig right in and get to working on other projects, like a blog post about good-will findings! This will come later on. But, today, since I don't have my Volvo, I've had to borrow my Dad's truck! I mean, there is nothing wrong with that, I get to sit up high and actually see the road better. Here is what my day entails:

-Return bottles & recylables
-Remove trash
-Stop by the YMCA to get applications (Did I mention that Brian and I are going to be working out together? Yes!)
-Take a trip to good ole Wallyworld for some odds and ends
-& then hopefully end up back here to do some laundry

Can I just say that I love having days off? They are just great to get back on track with things and catch up on some reading (I have about four magazines waiting for my inspection) and just some relaxation. So on that note, I'm going to start in on my day.

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

Just a peak...

So, as I promised, here is a peak into my accessories. Yes, I have a lot of them and will continue to collect. I don't have a ton of shoes, but jewelery, ah yes I have a ton of that. When we moved into this place, we did a lot of work painting and rearranging and I got to decide what to do with the second bedroom. I made it into an office/dressing room. It is pretty fantastic. I love having my own little space to do homework, write, talk to friends, and stare at my closet! Oh and of course admire my hard work of putting the room together.
This is where I keep my jewelery- or at least most of it!

I got this idea from True Whit and I am totally loving it. I think it looks fabulous.

Just some of my more delicate necklaces I didn't want to hang on the wall.

My Momma's bracelet that she gave me. She said she would never wear it again. It's so gorgeous!

I keep my shoes on display here also.

Just some wallets and clutches that I haven't been using.

My two favorite pairs of heels that I own.

One of my favorite necklaces: the light pink rock one. So beautiful and can be dressed up or down.

Yes, I am a ring lover. You can never have too many.

I counted all of my earrings: 94 pairs.

Hope you enjoyed my jewelery collection! I will have more images of the rest of my place soon to come. Hope the rest of your afternoon is beautiful!

I forgot to show you what it looks like outside! Be aware: Lots of snow!

 I have one word: Yuck.
Bring me Spring!

Good Eats!

This morning I had to go and get my tires rotated and when I came back home, I found my boyfriend cooking bacon. Yes, glorious, greasy, delicious, maple flavored bacon! I handed him his coffee I picked up on Starbucks on my way home and we decided to just make a delicious breakfast for ourselves. It was nothing special, but certainly delicious. Oh and did I mention that it has literally been snowing for the past three days straight? And that it looked like a blizzard when we sat down to eat? Crazy. I cannot wait for Spring to get here.

This would be the final product. Yum.
Hope you have a wonderful Monday!
